SetSage privacy policy

SetSage is made by Check Zanas Limited, a company registered in Scotland (SC874025), the data controller for SetSage accounts. This policy covers the SetSage phone app, watch app, watch face and the SetSage connector for AI agents.
The short version
Without an account, your plans, workouts, heart-rate readings and body details stay on your phone and watch. If you choose to sign in with Google, they are also backed up to your private space in SetSage's cloud so you can restore them. Your AI assistant only sees what you allow, and only when you send it or connect it. No ads, no trackers, no analytics, and we never sell your data.
What the app stores
- Plans, logged sets, weights, reps, times and notes
- Heart rate during workouts, and resting heart rate if you allow background readings
- Calories, heart-rate zones and training load worked out from the above
- Body details you choose to enter: name, age, height, weight, sex and calorie formula
- Notes your AI coach leaves, and settings such as your linked music app
SetSage account (optional)
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's ID and email address and store the data above in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, London region), encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can read it (and the SetSage connector, if you turn it on). We use it only to back up, restore and sync your training. Delete your account in the app (You → Account and data → Delete my SetSage account) or at setsage.co.uk/delete-account.html. Everything in the cloud is removed.
AI assistants and agents
- Ask your AI: SetSage prepares a request with your training and hands it to the AI app you pick (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini). That provider's privacy policy then applies. SetSage does not send it anywhere itself.
- Live AI connection (Pro): you create a private link and add it to your AI assistant. The assistant can then read a summary of your training that the app prepares, containing only the categories you allow (plans and schedule always; workouts, heart rate, body details and notes are switches). It can propose changes, which you approve and can undo. Your name and email are never included. Turn the link off or replace it at any time.
Other times information leaves your devices (only when you choose)
- Sharing a workout: the link or QR code contains that workout's exercises, sets and weights only.
- Health Connect (optional): writes finished workouts and calories, and reads your latest weight, height and resting heart rate. Revoke any time in Health Connect.
- Export: a JSON and CSV file you send wherever you choose.
Purchases
SetSage Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles payment; we never see your card details.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct and delete your data in the app at any time. UK GDPR gives you rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
SetSage is not directed at children under 13.
Health
SetSage gives fitness estimates, not medical advice. Advice from an AI assistant is that assistant's, not SetSage's.
