SetSage Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
In short
- This policy is for people in US states with consumer health data laws, such as Washington (My Health My Data Act) and Nevada. Our full Privacy Notice covers everyone.
- We collect consumer health data only when you switch on a feature that needs it, and only with your consent. We never sell it.
- You can see it, delete it, withdraw your consent and appeal our decisions.
1. Who we are
SetSage is made by Check Zanas Ltd, registered in Scotland (SC874025), 41 Craigie Loanings, Aberdeen AB25 2PS, United Kingdom. Email: hello.setsage@gmail.com.
2. The consumer health data we collect
Without an account, your training stays on your phone and watch, and we don't collect it. We collect the items below only if you sign in and switch on cloud backup, SetSage AI, the connector for your own AI, or a trainer link, and only the items your switches allow:
- heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability and calories;
- body details: height, weight, age and sex;
- sleep, steps, VO2 max, body fat and workouts other apps saved to Health Connect;
- your workouts and training load, where they reveal something about your health;
- training diary notes and tags (such as "Pain or twinge"), and anything about your health you write in questions to SetSage AI, messages to your trainer or safety reports.
3. Where it comes from
- From you, when you type it in.
- From your phone and watch sensors, while you use SetSage.
- From Health Connect on your phone, for the items you allow there.
4. Why we collect it and how we use it
- To back up, restore and sync your training across your devices.
- To let SetSage AI answer your questions and suggest training changes.
- To give your own AI agent, through the connector, the training you choose to share.
- To show your trainer the training you choose to share, so they can coach you.
- To review safety reports and deal with misuse.
We don't use it for advertising, and we don't sell it.
5. The consumer health data we share, and who with
We share only what your sharing switches allow, and only with your separate consent:
- Your trainer, if you join one: workouts, heart rate, body details, sleep and recovery and your training diary, each only if you switch it on, and anything you write in messages.
- The AI agent you connect (for example Claude by Anthropic, ChatGPT by OpenAI, or Gemini by Google): the training summary your switches allow.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
Google processes this data for us to run SetSage (Firebase and the Gemini API), under a contract that lets it use the data only on our instructions. We have no affiliates that receive it. No other company collects consumer health data about you through SetSage over time, or across other apps or websites.
6. Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it, with a list of the third parties we shared it with and how to contact them;
- withdraw your consent, in the app (switch off backup or a sharing switch, turn off your connector link, or leave your trainer) or by email;
- delete it: delete your account in the app (You → Account and data) or at setsage.co.uk/delete-account.html, or email us. Deleting also removes what your trainer could see in SetSage, and Google deletes what it processes for us. If you ask, we will also tell your trainer to delete any copies they keep outside SetSage. The maker of your own AI agent holds what it received under its own terms, so ask it directly.
To use these rights, email hello.setsage@gmail.com from the Google account you use with SetSage. We reply within 45 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why, and we can take up to 45 more days.
Appeals. If we refuse your request, reply to our answer with "Appeal". We will tell you the result, and why, within 45 days. If you're not happy with it, you can contact your state Attorney General (in Washington, atg.wa.gov/file-complaint).
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here with a new date, and tell you in the app first if the change affects you significantly. We will ask for your consent again before we collect or share consumer health data for a new purpose.
